| | | | How low can I make my frets?

I've got a MIM Fender Jazz bass that I brought to a guitar tech. The frets were completely uneven. He did a decent job of evening out the frets but there are still a few that are too high that cause fret buzz and the strings to stop dead. I've been doing a lot of research and I'm going to try evening out the the uneven frets on my own. Once they're even, I want try lowering all of the frets.
Is there is a limit how low I can get the frets before they will stop producing a nice tone? |

I beg to differ: that's a lousy job of leveling the frets. Firmly request your money back, and find someone who knows what they're doing. You don't, and the possibilities of disaster are looming ahead.

But DO get your money back and don't go back to that guy.
