How to maintain a maple fretboard?

I just got my first bass with a maple fretboard (ATK 750) and I am not usre how to maintain it, clean etc and if needs anything else.

I did a search and I didnt come up with many answers.

Do NOT use lemon oil. Some people will tell you a little won't hurt, but it's not meant to be used on maple.

For maple you can just rub it down with a polishing cloth, and use guitar polish if you want.

Some people claim Pledge is fine and they have been using it for years too.

Anyway something along those lines, avoid the lemon oil.

i never do anything to mintain my maple board....always figured if its heavily finished it shouldnt matter

plus its on my beater bass lol

I find Naptha [lighter fluid] works Great for cleaning all types of dirt/crud from a Maple board. Put on a corner of a paper towel and wipe/rub down small area at a time as the fluid evaporates quickly. Won't harm finish in Any way either...

I use Dr. Ducks Ax Wax (contains no wax!)
a few times a year. It even gets gunk out of strings.
A few drops goes a long way. Apply it, let sit a few minutes, wipe off with a soft cloth.
