How to make your own bass ramp

Hello everyone,

I recently posted a new blog/video demonstrating how you can make your own bass ramp. After recently getting into players like Hadrien Feraud and Janek Gwizdala I became interested in bass ramps. I saw that you typically have to get one custom made and they can cost a bit. I mean, it's just a block of wood really.

Well, in the video and blog I'll show how I made my own bass ramp, what kind of wood I used, the tools I used, and how I custom painted it with my initial on it.

Bass ramps really aren't my thing but if it's something your interested in here's a how to:

Hey Jay, I just watched your video on how to make a bass ramp (great by the way), and I made a rough version of one for my GTBD-7. I like how it feels and how I'm able to play faster and with a lighter touch. Now I want a real ramp. Just collecting info and measurements to make it happen. Thanks for the inspiration and video.

Thanks. I also have a GTBD-7 and love it. I want to make a bass ramp for it as well.

I'm going to be making a video and blog soon about how to make a counterweight for neck heavy instruments.

I came up with a great way to keep those neck heavy guitars perfectly in balance both with a strap and without. It greatly improves practice and is very comfortable.
