How to Measure "fatness" of the neck?

Hi.
Unless someone got the neck specs for the G&L L2000 number 8 neck, can someone tell me how i measure the "Fatness" of the neck? im planing to sort out a custom bass, and for that i want a neck wich is inbetween the Warwick bolt on Neck and the G&L no. 8 neck, and.. it doesnt seem like G&L have a "proper" Customer support, where warwick lays everything out in the open...

well, assuming you're talking about from the front of the finger board to the back of the neck, I'd put a ruler on the back of the neck, then take another ruler from the front of the fingerboard to the ruler. I'm going to go get some rulers and take some pictures of what I'm talking about, so I'll edit this with pictures in a few minutes.

Yeah, i thought it was something like that, but is that a completely accurate way to do it? does it give me the measurments on the spot? (if its not exactly what it is, my calculations for my neck will be wrong...)

i will be measuring directly under the fret right?
