I just adjusted the action my new bass. Lowered it quite a bit. And I'd swear it sounds brighter, now. Strings closer to pups?

You guys who adjust basses a lot (your own or professionally) does the action affect the tone?

absolutely yes.
also pup height can change tone a lot as well. have fun
