How to remove a stripped screw?

The second pickup screw on my P-bass was stripped, probably by the previous owner. I was trying to adjust the pickup height, and I can't adjust the side for the G string... I want to replace all the screws since they are all rusty... any advice on how to remove it? Thanks.

I stripped a pickup screw a while back, and had to remove it with a pair of needlenose pliers. It worked.

If the screw is really rusty, I would put a few drops of 3-in-1 oil on it (just enought to ease into the grooves), and let the oil soak in overnight. THen try the pliers.

Press the pickup down with your fingers, exposing the head of the screw and remove it with a pair of pliers. Barring that you could buy a bottle of screwgrab or get a small EZ out.
