| Humbucker at Bridge of P-Bass?

Not new as ideas go, but there's a G&L SB-2 p'up I'm looking at, and I wonder if anyone's put one in at the bridge of a P-Bass? It's a MIM fender, and I'm looking to broaden my versatility with it. I want to keep the Precision sound, but add-in another color, something near a MM punch or just to add in some sharper upper-mids.
Any thoughts, advice, sharp upbraids (I'll just ignore you!)?
