Blah, I am really pissed off, I have this annoying buzz from the 7th 8th and 9th frets on the A string, they are so annoying, gaaah .

I have been adjusting my truss rod and bridge from last month, hoping that the buzz will go away, the relief on my neck is about 0.6mm...

I love low action, Im not going to raise my strings because it will decrease playability...

I do a lot of tapping and slapping, and whenever I hit those frets... ...

It does not buzz on the 1st fret, only those frets , on that specific string...

I need to cool down now, *takes deep breaths"

P.S. I do not play with a heavy touch... I can get away with little/no buzz when playing fingerstyle, but when I slap or tap, it sucks... I think it may be that I only have a newck pickup in my bass, that I get so much fretnoise...

You better get that neck looked at. There may be a bump in it there or some high frets. Or you may just have your action too low.

Yes, it's probably a problem with the actual fret itself, so adjusting the neck or bridge won't help. My P-bass was buzzing only on the G string on the 10th & 11th frets, so I took it in and the guy fixed it. He said the fret had "popped up".

In that case, go to the Stewart-McDonald site and get a book on set up. I think one of the ones by Dan Erlewine. Then you can, with care and a few tools, fix it yourself.

yeah, i was setting up a bass where frets 19-22 were like that, it was a pain, i ended up having to tap them back into the board, i could fit my fingernail enderneath em all.
