Can anyone recommend a good guitar tech for me in Houston or the surrounding area? I need to have the pickups changed and action lowered on my 5-string.
please and thank you

| | | | Thanks lug, price isn't necessarily an issue if the work is up to par. I'll check this guy out...

| | | yeah, Dallas is about a 4-hour drive from Houston. I actually found this place which is a lot closer to where I am in the city and they're endorsed by some great guitar manufacturers: http://www.paceguitarrepair.com/index.html
And let me add this note: I just left from this place and in case anyone else is planning to go there too, it's been moved from the actual Guitar Center, around the corner in to a residential area. The new address is 7702 Highmeadow but the number is the same. It's basically right behind Guitar Center. I talked to the guys at Guitar Center and they said they don't let anyone else touch their guitars except Ron Pace, he's highly recommended.

| | | | funny you should mention RR lug, because that was going to be the next stop I was going to make. I may take my other bass there for a professional setup anyway to see how they do. They do have a stellar reputation at RR...
