I think my bass hates me

My yamaha RBX 750 A is around 20 years old according to my calculations. The input jack is bad and will cut out if I move a certain way and now I think something is wrong with it electronically, either the pots are going or the pre amp is or something else is. When I plug in the volume is really low despite the fact that the volume on the bass and amp volumes are turned up all the way. I have tried putiing in a new 9 volt battery thinking that may be the problem but it stilll sounds the same. I would junk the bass and go for a new yamamha but i really like the bass and I am kind of attatched to it.

Do you think its worth getting repaired? what could be the problem?

Its likely just a solder thats starting to go avry, if you have sentimental value go get it fixed, shouldnt cost you too much.
