I have the same bass and just looked closely at the tuners. It can be a real chore to get any help from Ibanez and this bass is discontinued. But the tuners look like they're made by Gotoh and one of their standard items. You'd have to remove one of yours, take it to a shop that sells Gotoh bass tuners and compare. But I'd bet it would be a very close match. They also look almost identical to the tuners on my Carvin Bolt 4 kit bass. In a pinch you could probably use on of theirs which they sell individually.
Any good bass repair department in a music store will have a box of odds and ends like old tuners and other bits of hardware. I once managed to find a replacement pickup for a Japanese Gibson copy that way for $5. Give that a try if all else fails.
Anyhow, it doesn't look to me like that tuner is unique to that bass. If Ibanez can't help you you're bound to find something that will fool everyone except up really close.
The AGB140 is a very nice bass once you get it set up properly and with the right strings. I really like mine. |
I was just tuning my bass and i noticed that nothing happened when i was tuning up, only down.. so i tried tuning up a bit more and the whole "roller thingy" juste came loose and now it does not move at all..
Was using 45 105 strings i believe.
So sad that my trusted defretted agb140 had to loose an arm..
