Ibanez Roadstar II RB885 - bridge replacement

Sign in to disble this ad
I have an Ibanez Roadstar II RB885, ca. 1986. The stock bridge is the older style, with the barrel-shaped saddles. I want to replace it with something more modern, akin to Quan's Badass Bass bridges, but the string spacing is too small to accommodate the Quan. Ibanez makes something called an "Accu Cast" bridge, which I think would be a good compromise. However, I cannot find the specs on it to determine the string spacing. I'm not concerned with screw hole placement; I can fill/redrill if necessary.

Does anyone know if this bridge is compatible with a bass as old as my RB885? Or, if anyone has a fiver with this Accu Cast bridge, would you be so kind as to measure the string spacing - center of low string to center of high string - for me please?
