Ibanez SRT805 truss rod question

Sign in to disble this ad
Does the Ibanez SRT805 have a dual-action truss rod? EDIT: not dual rods; it is a single adjustment nut - just need to know whether it is a two-piece truss rod.

Need to correct a slight backbow - I have already loosened the rod, and starting to see some relief, but the nut seems loose at this point. I can keep going (going to wait a day or two first) but don't want the nut to drop out.

TIA.

Dave

Bump to try again for an answer.

Anyone have a contact email for Ibanez USA? Web site support pages seem to be missing this info (or I am getting REALLY blind).

Dave,
The amount of relief or tension you need to apply to a neck would not result in the nut falling out. If it is spinning freely it could be defective, or just really really easy to turn. Working on both guitars and basses, it's something I've come across before. Contact your local Ibanez dealer. They should be able to help.
