I'm having problems with my fretless...

I bought a Schecter fretless a few months back and decided to change the strings recently. It buzzed pretty badly so I fiddled with the action and raised it (I wanted to do this anyway because it was kind of low in the first place) and I really didn't know what I was doing. It sounds fine when not plugged into my 15 watt Squier amp, but when plugged in, I get a horrible noise no matter where on the neck I'm playing or if it's an open string. Can high action do this to a fretless? How can I go about fixing it?

Nevermind, I found the problem. One of the 9-volt connecters had gotten loose and I had to tighten it with pliers. Which is weird, since I haven't replaced the batteries for months. I realized it made the same noise when the volume was down all the way and thought it might be an internal problem. Thanks though!

Fretless buzz too..

Since you fixed your problem can I hi-jack to see if I can get some help? I took some flatwound strings off of my KSD Fretless j70 5 string. I left it without strings for a couple days it just sat in a stand. Then I put some new, different gauge, diff brand roundwounds on it and I got major buzz on the lowest fret-area (lined neck) so I loosened the trussrod qtr turn, still had buzz a day later. I turned the rod almost a full turn retuned, let it sit each time over 3 days or so. On the lower end the strings seem like they are stuck to the fingerboard, higher up the neck is only a bit less buzzy. Have a couple potential buyers for it, so need to try to get the buzz out so they can try it out first. Any ideas? Thanks.
