I'm trying to lower the action on my bass and I think I have the truss rod set like I need it, or maybe not, we'll see. Anyway the action on my bass gets higher as you go up the neck. I haven't played a ton of basses so honestly I don't know if that's normal. I figure if I lower the saddles though it will even the action out. I know counterclockwise turns are supposed to lower the saddle but it's at the point where the screw is sticking a few mm out of it's spot and the action isn't changing. Am I not supposed to turn them that far? Should I just tighten the truss rod more? The thing with that is my E string buzzes kind of annoyingly if it's any tighter.
So, advice? If it matters I'm tuned EADGC |
