Improved bridge for Beatle-style violin basses

Guys, did a bit of homework, but no dice so far. I have a Hofner knock-off (Douglas) and I use it for the occasional acoustic gig. Love the thing with Beatles flats on it, but I hate the bridge. Certainly, someone makes a better bridge for these basses? I'm looking for something with a thicker base and maybe some adjustable saddles. The intonation on mine is pretty close. Close enough, but not perfect, with the bridge tilted. It's also sitting on the adjustment stud pretty high.
Anybody? Thanks!

Something like this, but for bass, obviously.
