installing new bridge

is it neseccary to pre drill holes for the new bridge if they dont use the previous bridges holes???

I think it is. Just puting (don't know a proper verb) the screws on without previously drilling holes, could crack the wood.

Yeah and its not good for the screw, and its a damn hard job screwing into "nothing", most screws work by expanding and cutting into a existing hole.
