Installing a new set of straplocks to flip my bass

Sign in to disble this ad
Stupid question, but is it possible to fit a new straplock onto the lower horn of a bass so that I could flip the bass over to play lefty?

At the moment I play lefty on my Yamaha RBX375 but the positioning of the straplocks on the bass means I have to remain seated.

Also, is this a job I could do myself? I've got a load of spare straplocks and the tools...

Any help appreciated!

Sure, why not? Just drill a pilot hole and go for it. I have strap buttons on the lower horns of my basses to accommodate the second strap that goes around my waist.
