Introduction

Hi, my name is Vince Jesse. I've been hanging around the double bass repair forum for a while but I've checked the bass guitar side out and I'd like to introduce myself. I have an upright bass workshop in Madison, Wi but I've worked on guitars for years. I have experience with setup work and I could probably answer some questions if I get the time.

Nice to hear from ya Vince, welcome to the Bass Guitar side of the forums.

Maybe I'll take a trip up north one of these days and pay a visit to your shop, do you only take appointments or is your shop more of an open house?

bass

I like to work by appointment but I'm around the shop a lot.

There's a great used gear store down the street that's worth the trip if you happen to be in town. The Guitar Shop at 2215 Atwood Avenue in Madison.

Xylem - Do you know any of the Lakland people? I worked there briefly.

Cool, I'll maybe give you a ring one of these days and check out your place if it's not too much trouble for you.

I know a lot of guys who love Laklands, but I don't think I have met with any of the pros there.

It's possible that I have met some of the guys outside of the context of Lakland and didn't know who they were when I talked to them...
