ISO set screw for saddle Squier P bass

I am trying to find a set screw for the bridge saddle on my Squier P bass. I have checked the local hardware stores (Lowes, Home Depot and Sears) and also checked Stew-Mac, but I can't seem to find the right size. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

It depends on the year yours was made. My 1998-9 is SAE threads and I have no trouble getting them at a real hardware store - but places like Lowes and H-D won't have them.

They were SAE and then went JIS/Metric at one point and the changeover time isn't all that clear to me. .

You've got to find the pitch and diameter to get the right one for it first.

Be sure to post the results and if it is successful or not - OK?

I received the parts yesterday, and they were the right size. I'll check on the part number. I also ordered a pickguard. It was a nice 3 ply, black white black. The only issue was the pickup cut out was slightly off, but that is probably b/c I have a Squier P, and I think they advertise it as a Fender P. Great transaction, though. I made 2 orders b/c I forgot to order the pickguard, and so I got hit with shipping twice. Well they combined the orders and refunded the 1 shipping charge.

God, I love TB! I'm missing a saddle height screw for my Status Stealth headless and after getting the screw specs from Rob Green @ Status, I wasted an hour today running to hardware and computer stores trying to find them. Then I do one quick search on TB and here's my solution!
