Jack plug on a SX Bass

My SX J-Bass has a problem, the jack plug is too large so the cables don't always made contact (so sometimes when I'm playing it just stops working). How can I fix this?

Replace it with a switchcraft. The SX are junk.

A new jack would probably help, or you could take it apart and bend the thing in a little bit so it makes better contact. Buy a switchcraft for under $2 and swap it out would be my suggestion as they're better jacks and not hard to change.
