Jazz bass necks...

i own an MIM J bass Fender and im wondering if i can replace the neck with a Maple fretboard neck (im not digging the rosewood sound). like possibly a Geddy Lee bass jazz neck or something similar. can anyone help me? and i dont want to buy a blank neck...

There are after market suppliers of bass necks, such as Warmoth, Mighty Mite, Allparts,etc, plus Ebay. The all pretty well will fill your needs for a solid maple neck/fretboard.

yeah but will ANY fender jazz bass neck fit??

pretty much- even a Precision neck will fit. Some might require a little fanangling, but for the most part, yeah.
