Lightbulb jazz bass pickup istalation

Sign in to disble this ad
I got a precision bass body and I want to install a jazz bass bridge pickup on it..

Is it an expensive process to do it? Also does it take long for a profession luthier to do it?

Basically it just needs this pickup space carved because it's only a p-bass body without the "hole" for the jazz bass bridge pickup.

Any suggestions or advices for pro's?

Thanks

if you have experience with a router you can find templates on line
if not this may be a little pricey
hope this helps

There's generally more to it than just routing a cavity - you also have to drill a small hole from the pickup cavity to the control cavity for the wires.

The actual process (ok, I routed a battery box which took longer because it was so deep) was under an hour.
