Only if you install it with a left handed screw driver.

I'm confused. Your wording got a little weird. But as far as I can tell the necks will fit fine. The pocket dimensions on P and J (Fender) are the same (not sure about vintage instruments).

Why would you want to play the righty body upside down?

The neck and fretboard will fit fine. You will need to remove the frets and flip them around the other way though.

I am wanting that upside down head look to it. Like a Jackson Dinky guitar. Thats the look I am going for and just want to make sure it works.

And the left handed screw driver response made me LOL

I figured that if the necks were interchangeable then with a right handed bass body and a left handed jazz neck would give it that upside down head.

No need for all the flipping and stuff, just get a right handed J neck with a flipped headstock from Warmoth.

As for the heel, fender's current version of the P deluxe (MIM) features a j neck on a P body. It also has P/J pup config and a preamp.

It should work fine. The only thing that really would need flipped is the nut. It should work out great. BTW, I love my P with a Jazz neck. It's like the best of both worlds IMO.

In addition to looking awful, won't that also make it a pain in the butt to tune?
