Jazz Volume Knob Problem

Sign in to disble this ad
Okay, so I got a Schecter Jazz bass from a pawn shop today. I know the guy who owns the shop so he gave me a pretty good deal on it. So I got home and plugged it in and tried to solo the neck pick up, something I didn't do at the shop, and everything went quiet. Same thing with the bridge volume. Neither of the pick ups can be soloed. Both knobs act as a sort of master volume. The tone knob works as it should though. I did notice that two of the knobs are loose, the bridge and the tone. This kind of made me think that someone had changed the pots and when they rewired it they did it wrong. I haven't checked anything out yet. I'm not too good with electronics and wanted some advice before I go ripping things out. So any help would be appreciated. Thanks a bunch.
