Just got my MIM truss nut out!! can it be replaced with a Bullet type??

Ok got my truss nut out (well the old man did) its from a mim 06 P-bass.. it was rounded and we just managed to pull it out.. just.. cant it be replaced with a bullet type nut?? or do i have to use an internal barrell again??
