Just revived my first bass

First bass i bought; late 80s japanese made fender jazz, black. The previous owner upgraded the electronics to EMG i believe it has 1 J pickup and a set of p pickups. bass treated me well. However, when i got my modulus i let this sit around for too long in a basement sometimes and with the strings always taught. The constant strain of weather and tension warped the neck. I just removed the neck, adjusted to truss rod, gave it a fair tighten. Most of the bow in the neck is gone, to the point where there was some fretbuzz when I only had 1 string on. However, the tension of the other strings seemed to tighten the neck out to a very sweet position. Just tried slapping on it and it slaps more freely than my modulus Q5, gona go get lit, then plug in and hear how she sounds tone wise now. Im so happy!

NYE in 25 hours here!! I'm gonna get......uh, I mean, I'll be quite sensible and remain sober... (well, maybe that's a teeeeeensy weeeeeensy little bit untrue...)

*ahem*

Anyways, I revived my old bass a couple weeks ago. Cleaned the mould off it (living in the sub tropics, it's summer here and humid, and it's been under my bed for 18 months), boiled up some old strings and whacked them back on it, made a lot of truss rod adjustments, then adjusted the action and intonation to suit and now it sounds and plays sweeter than I remember. Good times!
