Killswitch Location

I've got a Sanwa arcade pushbutton coming in the mail that I plan on installing in one of my T-40s as a killswitch. I'm willing to make room anywhere on, and under, the pick guard for it... Thing is, I've never used a bass with one.

For those that have killswitches on their basses, where do you recommend putting it for ease of use while playing... I'm thinking right next to the bridge pickup, near the knobs, but I could seeing putting it in place of the useless phase switch.

I plan on using the switch ala Tom Morello and Buckethead.

When i added a killswitch to my cheapy Ibanez Gio 200, I put it about 2 inches down from my G, and probably 4 inches form the bridge. thats where i would place it, becasue you can pick and hit the button with your pinky, or palm. but if you are doing more Morello stuff you probably would want it closer to the neck if you where to be doing a bunch of tapping

Easy - get another switch (and resistors...)

Put one by the neck for tapping, and then put one nearer the bridge for ergonomic, quick pluck-n-mute effects.
