Knob not centered correctly.....

Sign in to disble this ad
Is there something I can use inside of the knob to help center it. I had to use a replacement knob that is not exactly the correct side on my bass but it works well. It is just a little off center so I am wonder if I can put something inside of the knob to help center it........

You mean like when you turn the knob you can see that it wobbles? You can probably make a shim from a pop can or similar if it bothers you. Remember, though, nobody else will see that it wobbles unless you turn it back and forth continuously!

So, the original knob was "centered" but the replacement knob isn't?

1) get an original replacement knob
or
2) take a photo so we can better understand what is going on
or
3) don't sweat the small stuff! it gives your bass character! (and maybe even some MOJO!)
