Knobs won't fit pots?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys. I just recieved these knobs http://www.fender.com/products//sear...tno=0991370000

It seems that they don't fit regular 250k CTS pots, is this true? I can't place them fully onto the pots, there's some space between the knob and the control plate.

I've tried messing with the little screws, but no luck.

I would normally just say that both aren't compatible, but I think I've seen a lot of basses with CTS pots and these standard knobs so I may be missing something.

How far is the threaded portion of the pot sticking through the nut?

I'll probably need about 3-4 washers on each, but as long as it fits it's fine. Simple solutions often work best, thanks guys.
