Question Lakland 44-01 bridge swap w/ hipshot

Sign in to disble this ad
Lately I realized I like tighter spacing between the strings.I played a 5 string and loved the spacing.I played a TRB 1005 by the way and couldn't find the spacing on it.

44-01 has .78 bridge spacing.
Hipshot A has .75 spacing.

As I heard 2 more holes into the bass and the hipshot is good to go.If you replace the original bridge, holes are seemless too.

My question is,would changing to .75 make a big difference?
I'm not a 5 string guy yet so have no idea if 5 stringers have tighter spacing then .75 (I assume they do though).
