Lakland 55-01 tuner size

Hey, I'm looking to upgrade the tuners on my Lakland 55-01 (1999 model). I don't believe them to be Hipshots. There are no markings and they are enclosed. In any case, I plan to put Hipshot Ultralights on it. What size should I be ordering? I'm thinking 3/8" since the Hipshots I put on my Fender have a larger post which I think were 1/2".

I have a feeling if you call Lakland they can give you the information you need.

I don't know what year my 55-01 was, but it was an earlier MIK model (not sure of actual year) with the Y shape tuners rather than the cloverleaf. I went through the same thing because I wanted to go to cloverleaf for aesthetics only.

You can find info here:

Hipshot Tuners for Lakland 55-01

Thanks. I also sent off an e-mail to Lakland. Looks like I'll be getting the HB6Y 3/8". I like the Y shape tuners.

I ordered a single tuner due to one of my tuners going bad. Received it yesterday and installed it (wow, 5 minutes max). What a difference! Not only does it look good, it feels good! I ordered the other 4 last night. Next up, new pups!
