Hello TBer's.
Got a question about my lakland. I've had it for nearly a year and its been fantastic. I've noticed lately, after doing a few yearly adjustments, that the B past the 12th fret gets "fuzzy" or undefined. I didn't really notice because like most people, I don't play past that area on the B string.
Perhaps I am asking too much, but is it possible to remedy this? I assume there is an easy solution, and any help would be great!
Thanks. |

Thanks. | Does this occur amongst all the B strings you've tried? Don't sweat it....no "money notes" up there anyway. Are you using conventional or tapered B's?

I'm using a tapered B, from the DR high beam set. Its great up until the 13th fret. Perhaps I am asking too much from the lakland?

I commonly play to the 15th fret on the B string on several 4 string basses strung BEAD. By using a lighter touch and having the PU lower on the B side than I would use strung EADG, the sound is fine.

I have the same "problem," although I use it to my advantage for when I need warmer, fatter notes.
