Lakland Bridge

Does anyone know if it is possible to buy a Lakland bridge? I would to put one on the bass I'm putting together. Not a fan of high mass bridges and would like something more than a Fender stock bridge.

that oval bridge is a lakland's most distinctive and recognizable visual trademark, even more than the logo or headstock design. i'd be stunned if they were willing to sell them separately so people could make "fake laklands".

if you want a bridge that's kind of like it in function, the fender through-body bridges from their newer USA basses are available separately.

Got a message back from Leo at Lakland and Walter was correct they do not offer their bridges by themselves. Oh well, it was worth a try and he seemed nice!

Does anybody have any suggestions of something comparable? I love the idea that the bridge is close to a Fender original but has a larger plate, it seems like it would be a better choice to hold the string tension. Of course, that isn't saying that a stock Fender bridge doesn't do a good job of that. I thought about a Leo Quan for awhile but I'm just not so sure anymore.

the plate is just cosmetic, maybe adding a slight bit of mass from being larger.

i like the newer fender bridges (but not the very newest one) because they're low-mass but string-through-body, so the anchoring is rock-solid without being heavy.
