latches for old case?

i purchased a gibson artist RD a few weeks ago and the latches on the case are messed up. anyone know of a place where i can buy replacement latches? and should i even attempt to remove the old ones or just put the new ones in next to them? never really done surgery on a case before so let me know.

I dunno, it wasn't really that hard. latches start on pages 84-85 of the online catalog.
