left/right hand machine heads

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey,

I'm changing the hardware on my streamer lx5 and the warwick shop has the replacement machine heads available. Question is, do I need right ar left hand machine heads. Its a right handed bass but it leave me a little confused.

Machine heads on the left of me, but on a right hand bass would require.....(fill as appropriate).

Also, does anyone have any tips on replacing the bridge? I cant figure out the tool required and if its a simple set of screws that hold it in.

Cheers for now.

Change the tuners, keep the bridge.

The LH / RH denotes whether the tuner will be mounted on the treble or bass side of the headstock (Warwick uses a 3+2 config. IIRC). The wording is confusing. I would upgrade to Hipshot Ultralites if you can afford the extra dough. They're a better product all the way around plus you can convert them from LH to RH, etc., with a PH screwdriver and hex key.

Not sure about the bridge. I always liked 'em myself.
