Isn't ebonol essentially a composite resin? Use Windex or 409. It won't matter. There is no benefit to using oil.

Hot soapy water and a paper towel should clean it up nicely. Lemon oil will just sit on the surface and get gunky over time.

It is my understanding that ebonal is solid phenolic which is basically "Formica". So nothing will soak into it.
