Les Paul Bass Bridge question...

Sign in to disble this ad
i have a ibanez les paul bass form the 70's. it's a lawsuit bass because it's pretty much an exact replica of a gibson triumph bass. the onlt thing is i don't like the saddles on the bridge (they're plastic i think) anyway i would like to replace them, or the whole bridge really with a bridge off of a gibson. does anybody know where i can get one or does anybody make a replacement that you know of. thanks

lang

Ebay is the only place I've seen Gibson bridges. Hawk-eye ebay and you're bound to find one.

im sure i read an article on the ibanez lawsuit models and it said direct replacement was imposible as they used different measurements to gibson for their bridges. the guy (who collects and sells the ibanez 70's) said "just try and fit a les paul saddle on one of those they use metric" if memory serves.

I believe the spacing for the studs on the Gibson style bridge from Allparts is metric, but I'm not 100% on that.
