Lighter Tuners for Squier Jaguar Bass SS

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi,

I'm looking for lighter Tuners for my brandnew Squier Jaguar Bass (Short Scale) without having to drill new holes. Any ideas?

Cheers,

Mich

I just played one of these yesterday. Loved it.
SQUIER JAG SHORT SCALE; ANY REVIEWS?
How do you like yours so far?

Gotoh Res o Lites have several styles available depending on the size of post hole. 9/16 or 11/16. One model has four mounting screws that look like they might match up with Fenders. Another has two mounting screws that might match up with the bottom two on a Fender. You'll just have to measure.

Hipshot Ultralites have a single screw so you'd have to drill for it. I do think the hole would be covered by the stock tuner in the event you would want to sell it later.

Yep, a little bit. The body is very light, so the tuners make it dive. The tuners are not very good aswell, so I think that it's a good idea of changing them.

The Gotoh Res-o-lites are great, but I don't think that any of these would fit without drilling...

Yep, believe it or not, it does. Not too bad, a wider strap could help but I need to get one. I'll be interested to hear how the tuner hunt turns out. Please keep us posted.

Apparently you'd have to call since there's no mention of them on their website.

If it's not a problem, could you give us an idea about cost etc.?
