Is a little buzz normal if i'm playing really hard?

I mean really hard! My strings are already 1/8" inch off the board at least, due to the fact that I like the fuller sound from digging in.....but when I slap the strings still hit the frets, which I hear is normal. When I pull the string almost as hard as a slap, it buzzes....all frets, all over...........my relief is perfect?

Is this normal? Just wondering. I can make a video if you guys need to see "playing hard" but i'm guessing you already know.

It's normal.

I would suggest lowering the action (sounds pretty high to me), playing with a lighter touch, and making the amp do most of the work instead of your fingers. Playing hard is going to wear out you and your bass, and destroys a note's sustain and volume consistency.

I've been trying to change my playing style lately to use a lighter touch and let my amp do the work. It takes some getting used to, but it's a great excuse to buy new gear!
