Locking cable connector

Sign in to disble this ad
Some time ago in SamAsh I found that some basses have instrument cable connectors which can lock cable inside. Questions:
1. What is the name of this king of connectors?
2. Can I replace regular one on my bass (Yamaha RBX170) to locking connector with minimal modifications?

Thanks a lot.

You can get the physical specs for the Neutrix 1/4" locking phone jack from: http://www.neutrik.com

Click navagate: Products; Jacks; Locking 1/4 inch Chassis Jacks; Specs

You can purchase them from:

http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=092-044

Personally I would prefer the jack popping out (non-locking jacks) instead of equipment falling over (locking jacks).
