Question Long and McQuade Nut Repair

Sign in to disble this ad
If you know, please help.

I was planning on taking my Warlock in to get a new nut installed at my local L&M and was wondering what they use as the standard material for nuts. That and how much the cutting and instillation would cost.

Only reponses on Long and McQuade costs and materials is useful (don't mean to sound rude).

Thanks.

They put a new nut on a Godin for me once. That was the Bloor Street store. The material was a hard plastic. Decent quality. I also got them to replace the pegs that hold the strings into the bridge. (Godin Acoustbass) I think the whole job was $40 or so. They did a good job. Each store has their own repair department I believe.

Had a nut job done at the Bloor store as well. It cost around $50 before taxes. I specified Graphtech graphite nuts, and they said the price is the same for bone.
