Looking for advice on my mexican p-bass

I used to hate it, but after swapping out the pickups for quarter pounders I've found that it has a lot of potential for me. I'm also having a badass bridge 2 installed, since my old bridge had a stripped screw in it or something that prevented me from setting it up/having it set up.

So I am taking care of the woes I have with its sound, but now I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to make it more playable. I got this bass for my birthday and didn't get to test out basses for very long, and unfortunately found that the thinner jazz bass neck is much easier for me to play. Would it be ridiculous, or even possible to replace my p-bass's neck with a jazz neck? Appreciate the time guys

I think you'll get used to the neck. Just get it properly set up and play it! People tend to assume that thinner is better. I used to think the same, but now I prefer my necks to be thick. If you have extremely small hands, I would agree.

If you come to the concluson that you have to have a J-style neck, any MIM Fender J neck should fit your P. And probably most MIA J necks as well as maybe some MIJ necks. But I would also suggest that when you get the bridge situation straightened out and it's set-up properly, play it a lot for a month or so and you might find that you like it just fine.
The standard J neck nut width is 1 1/2 inches...sometimes 1 9/16. You MIM P is around 1 5/8 inches and it's really not that much different. If you get the Badass bridge with the slotted saddles, you can really adjust the string spacing so that the strings are closer together on the bridge end and that may make a difference for you. I'd suggest that you try to make it work without buying a new neck and you'll save yourself quite a few bucks and possibly a lot of aggravation. )-(

+1 Give it a chance. I have small hands and carpal tunnel and I assumed that thinner would be easier on me. Not so. I now welcome thicker necks with open palms.
