Looking for a luthier in Eugene, OR area

I'm moving there in a few weeks and will need some work done on arrival. Recommendations are always a good place to start. My apologies if this is the wrong forum for this request.

There is a luthier named Steven Holst who is more of an archtop/acoustic guitar maker but he may have some suggestions.

David King is in Portland but he may not be on hiatus for a month or two over the summer.

Yeah, my cursory investigations turned up a lot of acoustic instrument makers (and a surprising concentration of violin makers). I need an old and deeply embedded nut replaced and a setup done - I suppose an electric-bass-specific skillset might not be required.

I lived and played in Eugene for many years. By far, my favorite luthier there is Charlie Longstreth. His office is at McKenzie River Music. BTW, the owner, Bob November, is an avid guitar collector! One of the best-known in the country!

Tell Charlie I said hello!

Somehow I missed this recommendation until now. Thanks a lot for that - I'll definitely check him out and pass along the greetings!

Nice! That's the kind of rep I was looking for. Thanks for the recommendation.
