Looking to replace the neck on my SX P/J

Sign in to disble this ad
First: I apolagize for yet another SX related thread.

With that out of the way: Like the title states, i want to replace the neck on my SX. It's a P/J with the standard 'P' neck. Like some people out there, i have small hands, and find the bulky neck a bit cumbersome to work around.

Now, where it might get tricky: My main two basses are my ATK and my MIM Fender Jazz. While i like the jazz neck a lot, i actually feel much more comfortable with the bit wider ATK neck.

I am new at the whole part-swapping thing, and i was curious as to what kind of necks i should be looking for that fall in the 'smaller than a P, but wider than a J' that will also fit into the SX?

Thanks!! Aside from the neck, i rather like my SX.

Pull the neck from the MIM and put it on the SX. String it up and play it. If the neck fits and plays ok, you can use any Fender type aftermarket necks. (Warmoth, MightyMite etc.)If it does not, Rondo sometimes sells SX necks.

I have a Warmoth neck in a SX parts body. If fits fine. Check before committing.
