Arrow Looking without success for a white pickguard for a Fender Jazz Bass Custom Classic 4

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi guys,
I'm looking for a white pickguard for my Fender Custom Classic Jazz Bass 4 and I can't find it available in any dealer, eBay or classified.
Anyone knows where to buy it or the Fender part number?
I'd like to swap my tortoise factory one installed in my candy Tangerine Custom Classic for that white one mentioned:

Maybe any of you have one that would like to trade?

Thanks a lot!

Pickguardian

I had this white pearl made by pickguardian for 60 bucks. It is thick.I have not seen a pickguard this thick except on Entwistle(sp) bass.

What is the difference between the Custom Classic PG and the standard J-bass PG?

I’ve never ordered anything from them myself but they seem to be quite popular and get plenty of good reviews.

I don't think so buddy, take a look at the position of holes, specially the one over the neck pickup in the Custom Classic:

greasygroove.com in Nova Scotia sells pickguards. I've been very happy with their work.

Anyone has a Custom Classic Fender Jazz Bass 4 with a factory white pickguard?
All I can find mounted in these basses is tortoise, except one in white pearl:

As you can see from jsixties's picture of his Custom Classic, it's an active model with 21 frets instead of 20 on passive models. The neck is longer, the nut is moved farther, so the bridge and the two pickups need to be higher on the body (34" scale), hence the need for another pickguard design.

It seems Custom Classics (Custom Shop) and American Deluxes share the same pickguard shape...
