loose tuning knob

One of my tuning knobs is jiggly and I was wondering how I could tighten it back to the way it used to be. Is there a screw in the hole on the knob that I need to tighten? I have a Squier P-Bass.

Thanks.

If the knob itself was loose, it would have fallen off by now. It sounds like it's the pot that's loose. Here's what you need to do.

Take off the pickguard. Loosen the screw in the side of the knob, and take it off the shaft of the pot. Hold the pot itself with one hand, and tighten the nut on the other side (right under the knob) with a wrench. Don't crank down on it, turn it just enough so that it doesn't move anymore. Then just put the knob back on, and put the pickguard back.

Is he saying tuning knob as in the tuning keys or volume or tone knobs? If its the tuning keys then make sure a string is on and giving tension because I've had many friends call me and say my tuning key is rattling and is jiggly and I say is a string on and they say no and then thats it. They put on the string and it's good.
