Lots of buzzing

I just put Rotosounds on my Jazz Bass, and they sound great, but the E string buzzes like crazy. I used to have all my basses strung with D'Addario XL's, but since trying Roto's on my T-40 and Thunderbird, I thought I would try them on my main to see what they did to my tone. I liked them, so I decided to leave them on. When playing unplugged, I noticed whenever I play the E a little louder than almost nothing I hear more buzz than the actual note. I had never had this problem with D'Addarios, or my setup, so I'm wordering it may be something with the strings. Help?

i think the setup. the material used to built the strings.

i had something similar happened. going from flatwounds to round. from nickel to whatever else. at some point there was a buzzing up on the E, like on F and F# on that string. Same on A string on A#.

Took it to the local guitar genius. Explained to him, made him change the strings and try it out with different sets. He changed the nut, then no more buzzing.

I am not saying is the nut but thats what fixed mine.

So I just recommend take it to a local shop, where they have experience with basses.
