low action/intonation problems

I posted this in the G&L thread too, but I figured I might get more responses here.

I can't seem to get my L2500's action as low as I want and still be able to intonate it properly. I run out of adjustment room on the saddle screws. I'm using DR High Beams ML guage with a 130 B. Anybody else having this issue? How did you remedy it?

A way to remedy the B string saddle not going back far enough is to switch to a tapered B .130.

My problem is with the other strings. I can't seem to get them far enough away from the bridge with the action really low - where I like it.

Have you tried lowering the pickups? If they're close to the strings the magnetic pull might be affecting the vibration of the string and the pitch.

Sounds odd but it happens a lot.

Hmmm.... That's a possibility, especially as massive and hot as those G&L MFD pickups are... Thanks, I'll try that. They need to go lower anyway, as they're clipping on me sometimes.
