Lowering Tension????

Sign in to disble this ad
I recently bough a yamaha RB series bass. The tension setting is tight and it's difficult to do fast slap work. I dont know loads about basses just playin' em and I was wondering how to lower ur tension and keep in tune. If anyone has any tips it would greatly appreciated.

Use lighter guage, lower tension strings.

Myself, I'm slowly learning that I like high-tension strings for the "tight" sound I get out of them.
